Ashley, the Smoking Car.
Ashley's the smoking car, the last one in the land. One of the more mature characters, in london at least she was in a stable relationship with Bobo. Wise and caring, Ashley knows that racing's not worth the stress- she'd rather nip outside for a cigarette! Once Belle had been cut from the show, Ashley took over her vocal line in Rolling Stock: Reprise, making her fairly demanding vocally, however she is principally a dancing role.

Her costume reflects her status as a comfortable saloon car. Her bodice is wooden panels, her skirt is a lampshade trimmed with fringed braid. On her bust are ashtrays. Her hair is styled up into a chimney. Her overall colour palatte is that of tobacco brown. Unfortunately this means she is significantly darker under stage lighting than the other coaches, so she often melts into the background in photos. However, onstage her character shines through, her confidence and laid-back attitude make her a popular, if not politically correct, character!
