Buffy the Buffet Car- "sweet and simple", or been-round the block, hot and cheap and quick. Buffy's a confident lady, she's street-wise, sassy, one of the more mature coaches. In London she raced with Espresso, then Rusty, then Electra. In Bochum she races with Bobo, and is more faithful to him.
She's a Buffet car- her costume includes details of food on her hat, her chest-box is meant to be a counter with food on display through the windows. At her back she has a folded napkin tucked into her belt. She often has high stockings and suspenders, and doesn't wear a skirt. Her clean lines emphasise her simple occupation, compared to Dinah's frills as the Dining car. Buffy in london went through many changes in her costume, re-made every year. Some were more successful and aesthetically pleasing than others! Personally I prefer her later design, although she was less detailed than the earlier designs.
