C.B. The Red Caboose Random bod: Alright, I saw Starlight in London a few years ago, it was well good. But who's this Caboose then? I never saw him? Belle: Ahh, indeed you didn't see him, as those Know-it-alls *wise and intelligent managers* in RUG decided that after 7 years of StEx in London, it needed to have two characters and about 10 songs removed, so they could add "5 new songs!" I hate bureaucracy... anyway, in 1992 the London show lost C.B. The Red Caboose. However he remains in every other production (except StEx on Ice), but in Las Vegas his role was shortened, along with everything else that didn't involve Pearl, it seems... Caboose (as he's known outside London) is one of the most popular characters in the show! He's so sweet and charming, until he FLIPS. After seeing him played by the fantastic Rhoe Thornton in Bochum summer 01, I've come to the conclusion that CB isn't Evil, he's not trying to beat the system to win Dinah, he doesn't have a deep hatred of steam trains - CB is just insane. He's off-his-rocker-round-the-twist mad. You shoulda seen Rhoe's face before singing "There's Me"- mwahahaha.... Wonderful!!!
